this entry comes off as manic and too-involved.
Bad Reputation was over-the-top and crazy and ridiculous and a total mess, but I liked it way more than last week. I may even love it, I don't know. Maybe because of the music? (Probably because I forwarded all the scenes that looked like they would annoy me.)
I suck.

P.S.: I think it's important to tell you all that I've found a replacement noun for Like a Virgin - "like a bird, yeah" doesn't make any sense, but "Like a Persian"? Now that's ridiculous, but it still makes sense! :P I've been singing it to no consequence. This excites me.
P.P.S.: If you guys want good Rachel/Jesse fic, this one by
summerstorm both makes the situation hilarious and evolves their relationship believably. Also, the Jesse voice is perfect. He acknowledges that Rachel Berry is really hard to like and finds himself liking her anyway, and I love it.
- Let me tell you the process the Glee writers go through. They go, "Let's see what we can do to Rachel that will piss Rachna off!" This episode they did something extra special where they thought maybe they'd do something to make Rachna delighted, and then when Rachel reaches her peak of awesomeness and Rachna is relieved, they'll rob it away from Rachel so Rachna can get a little more pissed off than usual. Well they're doing it right. Why does Rachel have no friends, and why does everyone reject her for doing the same thing that everyone else was trying to do, too?
- lalalala 'shipping Rachel/Jesse. You guys should probably get used to this quickly. (After Ice Ice Baby when Will goes, "This song is officially paroled, right Jesse?" and Groff is all "yeah, yeah, you got me", you can hear Rachel going "Jesse would've done it better!" in the background and it's adorable.) Their break-up made me sad, not because of the reasoning, but because of how bummed both of them looked. Apparently some people can pull off all the rubbish bits.
- I legitimately love Total Eclipse of the Heart, the original version. I don't necessarily love the vocals, but I love the tune, so once I got the lyrics/tune right, it became pretty much a standard Shower Performance Song (I have a list of 33). I love it. This makes me mildly insulted that they used this song as one with a "bad reputation". NO WAY.
The Glee version of it made it even better, because hiiiiii, gorgeous vocals, I can listen to you and sing along in the shower now instead!
Also I made dumb-sounding wailing noises during this song, at the end, which is ridiculous, because it's 'love troubles' and it's manufactured but oh you guys Groff and Cory and Lea and the eyes and the sadness and the epic music and the sadness! AND THE SADNESS! With the angsty (/hot) ballet! I WAS DEFENSELESS. Screw you, Glee. I'm going to write me more fic.
Actually the E! recapper talked about the song in a more eloquent way here. I agree with it. - I understand Run Joey Run has the "bad reputation" of being a song that's gone down as one of the worst songs of the seventies, ROTFL. You can kind of see why (oh my god, the original video/song is dreadful - thank goodness Lea's voice doesn't sound like a baby girl's).
But it's also the song I can't stop listening to (after TEOTH) from this episode, because it's ridiculously over-the-top but Lea and all three guys totally kill it. So much fun. And oh my god, Rachel, how are you this consistently delightful? The hamming up was perfect and amazing, and the final wink made. my. life. It's hilarious. I was cackling throughout this video. Finn can't act! Jesse tries too hard! Puck can only overact! Incredible.
Also angels. - I hate everyone after this (see point #1).
- Jesse's reaction to this seemed the most justified, really. He clearly considers himself the greatest singer ever, and a Star, and to find out his role had been cut into a third of what it should've been, and that he was co-starring with two other guys? That must be the ultimate betrayal to him. Plus (considering this is high school and the drama must be kept alive!) he is her boyfriend, and she's using the reputations of two other people she used to be with because she doesn't think he's enough. Ouch. Jesse's ego must've fallen by a billion.
- Let us consider Jesse's intentions. Why is he even making the sad!faces? Why break up with Rachel? I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU, GLEE. And he's not around next week, ugh. Where the hell does that wonderful song-spoiler-song come in if they aren't together anymore? THIS SUCKS.
Anyway they've announced interest in maybe keeping Jesse around next season, which is pretty damn exciting. Groff has become one of my favourite reasons to watch this show. And I didn't even know him before his turn on Glee! - Ugh, thanks for writing a "Puckleberry" scene purely to write a "Puckleberry" scene, Ryan Murphy; that didn't come off as pure fanservice at all! I like the Puck/Rachel chemistry, and I like the fanfic, but there is nothing in the show that's made me see either of them liking each other enough to pursue a relationship. A friendship, though, maybe.
- I don't like Puck, though. He has few redeeming qualities. I have no idea why we're supposed to like him, because we don't have any idea of any of his intentions to do with anything. And what do we do about Mark Salling? His voice is good, but he never seems into the acting aspect of the show. He was hilarious in his bit in Run and he's hilarious when he gets the appropriate lines but otherwise I'm just so indifferent to him. :/ I hope he gets something to do.
- Whatever, Quinn, ask me when I've ever cared about you and I'll say...maybe Vitamin D, when you looked like you were trying? A little bit? NOT ANYMORE. I do not sympathise. I forwarded most of your scenes. You look pretty though.
- Don't try to make Sue nice, writers. I'm not even going to elaborate on this point, so you can take it as me being so angry at this that I've lowered my voice dangerously and cut off my rambling. You think about this and why you suck for doing it. (OK, no, this week's wasn't as bad, but still.)
- I loved Will going all Law and Order on all of them. This show is funny!
- Ice Ice Baby was a lot of fun because I saw everyone dancing at it was awesome and Heather Morris is fierrrceee. The first time I heard the Glee version of both this and Can't Touch This I listened to them thrice just so I could irritate my sister with my terrible dance movies, because I can't help but dance to both songs.
- You Can't Touch This was fantastic. (Why does everyone hate the library, though? WHAT DID IT DO TO THEM?) I love all the songs in this episode. Except maybe Physical, because I didn't really listen to that one. :P
I suck.

Sue's sister scenes did come off more naturally than before, but her ruthlessness isn't as funny if I know she can be that nice, if that makes sense. I liked her softening up in the Madonna episode - that kind of good I could work with.
I love Brittany, but Puck hasn't interested me in any scene where he doesn't have a couple of awesome, hilarious lines or in any scene where he's more of the focus; he just seems a little bored most of the time. Could be Salling being a good actor, I dunno. I do hope they give him more to do, though. Maybe he will closer to Quinn's due date.

Will going all L&O was...hot. Forgive me, but those rolled-up sleeves were really workin' for me. Good point about Jesse--they all overreacted to a ridiculous degree, but at least Jesse's overreaction is in character. The stuff with Sue and her sister was a little forced, but so sweetly and genuinely acted that I'll let it slide. And "U Can't Touch This" was awesome because gangsta!Artie has my heart.

2. ♥ ♥ ♥. Still love them lalalalalala I'm delusional.
3. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" does not belong in the same category as "Ice Ice Baby", etc. It belongs in the same category as "Don't Stop Believing" a.k.a. cheesy, awesome power ballads.
4. "Run Joey Run" was fifty flavours of amazing and lulz.
6. I agree with this, and said something similar in my review. Basically Jesse is a male Rachel so of course he would be insulted by the video. I love that Puck was insulted because the video was just bad.
7. I DON'T UNDERSTAND EITHER. AND WHAT, HE'S NOT ON NEXT WEEK? UNACCEPTABLE. But great news about the show potentially extending his stay. He's a treasure that needs to be cherished.
8. This, basically. You ranted about the fanservice far more eloquently than I.
9. I'm becoming less inclined to like Puck. I thought he had potential, especially when paired with Quinn (who I know you don't like either but whatever, ha) but after the sexting and now the Rachel flirting he's On Notice.
10. I still like Quinn. Not quite sure why, because the writing for her is inconsistent. She is a very pretty crier though.
13-14. I think I liked the dancing better than the singing, to be honest. But they were fun.
