Oh god, this looks fantastic. I don't even have the words to describe it (Colin Firth! Geoffrey Rush! friendships!! Helena Bonham Carter!), but I'm completely convinced it's going to be wonderful, and that it fully deserves the festival love it's gotten.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows trailer

Like I told mollivanders, the reaction 'shaking, crying' has never been a more accurate description of my reaction to anything before. anything. I started shaking maybe ten seconds in, and started wailing at the few seconds of the fight THE FIGHT. ('Shipping wars are crazy in this fandom, but other than how fully I love my Lily/James and anything set in the MWPP era, my biggest 'ship, the one thing I want to see beyond anything, is the HP OT3.) I can't really talk about this trailer, either, except - Hermione looks badass, and THE FIGHT THE FIGHT.

I don't know how I'm going to survive this movie. And if I don't, HOW WILL I WATCH PART TWO NEXT YEAR?! PROBLEMS, PROBLEMS.

If you give Colin the Oscar for The King's Speech, as many people say you will, because he is awesome and it looks amazeballs and I adore everyone involved, I will consider forgiving you for snubbing the fuck out of A Single Man last year. (Consider.) Please take this into consideration.

(ALSO HP AAAAAHHHHHH. I already spazzed in my own post, but I swear, half the reason they split it in two was to preserve the sanity of the diehards. If it was all over in one fell swoop I think I'd just DROP DEAD. But now we have one movie, six months to hide under the bed and cry and eat ice cream and ~prepare, and then the other one. And it's in the summer, which is nice. Having my life and in the middle of depressing-ass eastern seaboard winter would just be especially cruel.)

I will never forgive the Academy for not giving A Single Man love. Let's forget Colin Firth (although he was my FAVOURITE in that category) - why the hell did it not get a Picture nom?! Cinematography?! Costumes!? UGH.

Ohhh, you have a point. But it's also so hard to imagine me being able to survive WAITING for Part 2. I CAN'T!

SO DAMN EPIC. I can't get over it. I held out on watching the trailer for a few hours, but when I watched it I was all alone, in the middle of the night, and kind of had a meltdown. :P

Oh The King's Speech looks so wonderful. I'm glad it has some light-hearted moments in it as well as the gravitas, because biopics tend to be so very serious and drab a lot of the time. COLIN FIRTH FOR BEST ACTOR PLEASE.

Potter Potter Potter Potter! I know the trailers are always, well, better than the final product in that there is inevitably something that is disappointing about the films while the trailers elicit maximum squee, but oh so many of the scenes look just perfect. The wedding! Dumbledore's ghost at Grimmauld Place! The scenes at the Ministry of Magic! Hearts in my eyes.

It looks like it's going to be even lighter than the usual biopic, which I'm so excited about, especially since I think all the actors involved can pull it off fantastically. Actually it looks like it avoids so much of the usual biopic rubbish, with the whole origin -> rising fame -> personal problems -> peak of fame -> peak of problems -> fall -> (happy ending optional). Maybe because it focuses on just one period of time. Do biopics do that often?

And YES, COLIN FOR BEST ACTOR, PLEASE. PLEASE!

I've never been truly disappointed by a HP movie, but I've also never had my expectations so high. The trailers make all the scenes look incredible. I WANT.

I love how much people seem to love TKS from the trailer! Hopefully it does well when it's released. :D
