I was apprehensive about Baby Shower after I watched the promo for it, because it was pretty over-the-top, but everything toned down considerably after the cold open, which I was happy about. A lot of this week's episode struck me as totally right somehow - though not all of it - and I enjoyed it. :D

Michael/Holly is kind of the most adorable thing in the world - the way he hugged her and the way she kind of teared made me want to hug both of them, too. GAH, why so cute, people?! HAVE BABIESSSS. Please? For Michael? :D

Michael with babies is adorable and I really want to see Steve with Angela's baby now because of the stories she said about how he holds out her finger to Isabelle and she grasps it and he goes "AAHHHH YOU'RE HURTING IT" all fakely and fun and she keeps staring at him because he likes making faces at her egh so cute and how about Isabelle making yakky noises to John all the time like they're best friends or something and EGH SO CUTE I'm turning into KELLY.

The Jim/Pam tag was wonderful, too. I was expecting angst after the various depressing comments I found, but this was perfect - sweet in a sad sort of way, except not really, because even when they're out-of-sync they're too in-sync. Three reasons (of many) why people should not be worrying about them -

• "Is it just me, or are we off today?" No miscommunication problems there, my friends.
• The 'incident' at the laundry - Pam remembers it as the time "that crazy guy pushed (Jim)", and Jim remembers it as the time "that crazy guy yelled at (Pam)". Aw.
• "I miss you." Pam wants to be "home". Aw.
• (bonus!) THE ENGAGEMENT RING THAT SHONE WHEN SHE WAS FOLDING LAUNDRY. IT'S ON HER FINGER.

You worriers are crazy. And, you know, there are people who are just searching for reasons to say they'll break up, which is just sick and wrong and mean and I hate you. I hate you all.

Is it just me or are Andy/Angela getting a little cuter? Damn it.

I'll be missing next week's episode and won't watch it for another four or five days. Because I'll be in INDIA. OMGYAY.

I'm afraid I know exactly what you mean. :/ Damn. Maybe it's just because I feel so sorry for Andy who is so desperately sweet, but it may also be their baby-photo exchange and them dressing up Astrid like creepy people together. :P

Nooo! Noooooo! Jim/Pam angst is not good! The end was cute and proves that they're thinking the same or whatever, but you know in the movies when someone coughs and you know that means they'll be dead in 90 minutes of some horrible ailment? It's like that! One 'off' day is so not srs bzness with a couple like that, but it's TV. My spidey-sense is tingling frickin' hardcore. D: D: Don't fuck them up, writers! They need to understand that there are plotlines you can do with a betrothed couple aside from just giving them tension and/or breaking them up. :\ I'm afeared.

India?! Sweet! Have fun!

NONO relax. OK, the writers of this show? They aren't stupid morons. They know how invested people are in them. And after they make things like this happen where they so clearly show how much on the same wavelength they are...and making them look so miserable from not even being able to communicate properly on one day...the writers have made it seem like if they break up, both of them will be beyond how depressed they were in S3. They'll be suicidal. They've done so well with not creating unnecessary angst so far. They won't fuck this up. I am so sure of it.

I just--aagh, I have been burned before, quite badly. (THANKS A LOT, GILMORE GIRLS.) I am just going to hold on to hope that these writers are smart enough to give them normal ups and downs without being all melodramatic and ruining everything.

(It's just...but what about Philly Jim? They both have hopes and dreams! I just dunno how they're going to achieve their goals, stay together and stay in Scranton. It's all very mysterious. Potentially well-written goodness, but also potentially a big fail. D: D: D:)

I honestly never thought they could pull off getting a genuine, likeable love interest for Michael. But alas, they did. And once again, the Office writers win at life.

(Because she's PERFECT for him. Just as insane as he is, only sensible enough to keep him from doing strange and stupid things, like spending his entire salary on Eddie Murphy's leather pants or something.)

Mindy Kaling also rocks. A lot. (I am totally and completely in the Andy/Kelly camp. Oh yes. Think about it.)

I know, right?! It's beyond perfect. They can be dorky together and at the same time Holly is mature and for some reason, somehow, Michael seems more mature around her, too, which is fantastic.

I'm just depressed that as much as I adore how wonderfully Amy Ryan is playing Holly, it's Amy Ryan, and how long can she stay on the show, right? D: It sucks.

I love Mindy Kaling. a lot. And Andy/Kelly? I have thought about it, thought about it, thought about it ever since around...mid-S3? :P Basically, I see exactly where you're coming from.
