3. Exactly! Someone said it was probably because they were searching for a hot, young actress, but ugh, it's ridiculous. Certainly something like Olivia would be enough to understand how brilliant Anna is. And you're right! The animated movies have been consistently great this year, and they've definitely been the best comedies of the year - I can't think of many live-action movies that were good.
4. I finished the first season at 3 in the morning last night and yelped when John Gilbert's fingers were cut off WHAT WAS THAT. This show is so great at its sudden turnarounds, ahhh. I love it.
(I got a little Damon/Elena-'shippy after their forbidden-touches!dance and the way he walked up to her on the couch, lifted her legs, and set them back down on top of his lap, because both of those are my favourite romantic tropes, lalalala - but then Stefan and Elena were all "and I love you" and mopey and sweet and I can't imagine Elena doing anything to Stefan and I don't think Damon would do anything like that to Stefan or Elena, so. I'm perfectly content with rooting for whatever characters share a storyline or a frame, I don't even care anymore.)
5. I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't finished LOTR, yay.
